Sample Answer 1:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Nathan Adam, a mathematics major at Aura Vincent University. I want to rent out a spare room in my apartment and need your help regarding this.
As per the university policy, any student willing to lease a room to another student should first notify the council office. I want to rent out a room at the Central Library Road, Okalum Berry, AV -123. The apartment is on the 7th floor and has a lift, Wi-Fi internet connection, water heater facilities and an electric cooker. The room is fully furnished and has an attached bathroom.
I have a tenant agreement with the flat owner and I have to pay 210 dollars per week. The apartment has three rooms and one room is completely vacant. I thought to sublease the room to someone who would share the rent. Moreover, a student from my university would be a good companion for me.
The student who is interested to occupy the room should be a science major. He should rent it at least for six months and pay two months’ advance payment. I am looking for someone who is serious about the study and has a good academic track.
I am really looking forward to getting your help to rent out the room to a suitable student from our university.
Yours faithfully,
Nathan Adam
Sample Answer 2:
Dear Mr Hassan,
I am writing with regard to your advertisement in the New York Times which stated that people should contact you to rent out rooms to students from your university. I would be grateful if you could arrange a tenant for my extra room.
I own a flat in Manhattan and it is on 10th avenue. My flat is located on the 4th floor and it is quite spacious. It contains 2 moderately large bedrooms, a storage room, a kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. In addition, it is fully furnished with branded furniture and household appliances. I live alone in this apartment and use one bedroom while the second bedroom has no use for me. This is why I have decided to lease it out to someone.
The rent is $450 per month including utility bills. The tenant must be a polite person and a non-smoker. Additionally, he should not have frequent guests and parties. I am sure the prospective student will feel comfortable in this accommodation.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours cordially,
Fadi Al-Damiri
