Model Answer 1:
Not sure about others, but it was a blessing for me to have an opportunity to attend a great primary school while growing up as a young boy, where I learned a number of important life lessons. Today, I would like to talk about one of those important lessons.
The lesson that I learned was that we should always remain true to ourselves. Of course, I already knew that telling the truth to others was very important, but I wasn’t familiar with the idea of being true to myself until I reached 5th grade. In fact, I learned about this important lesson in a rather hard way when I failed to finish my own science project on time.
Anyway, the science project, I chose, was a rather difficult one. However, before assigning the project, my science teacher had repeatedly asked me if I would be able to finish it on time as it was a difficult one. But, I pretended that I was fully capable of pulling off any project, no matter how difficult it was, even though I knew that the project would pose a major challenge to me.
I still accepted that project only because I didn’t want to show my weaknesses to others. Besides, I also wanted to create some “wow” factor among my classmates. But, as the time for submitting the project was approaching, I was becoming nervous because I wasn’t going anywhere close to finishing my project. So, I asked for some additional time from my teacher, and he agreed. But, I still couldn’t finish the project on time, leaving me embarrassed in front of my other classmates. And, at that time, I realized that I should have been true to myself, having some clear idea about my own ability and skills.
Anyway, the lesson, I learned in my primary school, had always forced me since then to analyse any situation thoroughly by taking time before making any decision whether they were big or small. Besides, this particular lesson also had taught me to be humble in front of others even if I had enough reasons to boast.
Sample Answer 2:
“Primary or elementary school” is our first educational institute and we start learning many new things there. This is the place where the foundation of a pupil is built and that’s why things we learn in our primary school remain with us for a long. One important lesson that I learned from primary school is “the value of time”. In every stage of our life, we have to value time and this lesson has helped me throughout my life.
I learned it throughout the 5 years I studied in this school. I was only 5 years old when I got admitted into a school and had been there till I became 10. Our teachers told many stories and gave examples from history and real events about the value of time. From my life experience, I have also learned and understood it.
In fact, our lives are nothing but a collection of time. We have so many things to do and achieve to make our lives meaningful. Besides, we have our duties and responsibilities and those duties and responsibilities changes over time. So being able to do things in their perfect time is the main mantra of a successful life.
I have learned that time is priceless and we can never get it back once it is gone. So utilising it is the most important task in our life. Everything has a perfect time, and no matter how much effort we put, we can’t change the actions and their consequences. I have learned that, if I underestimate the importance of time, and ignore things that I should have done, they come back like boomerangs. Accomplishing things in time and doing them with dedication is the first rule to achieve success. Whenever I have evaluated time and worked accordingly, I had been able to fulfil my aim and expectation. When I neglected time and kept things undone, I regretted it.
