Sample Answer

Do you think beautiful looks are important to people?

It’s a shame, but I think nowadays people are pretty focused on looks. So people who are attractive are usually more popular. I know that looks shouldn’t really matter that much, but I have to admit, I’m more likely to pay attention to people who look nice. That includes wearing a stylish outfit and having an up-to-date hairstyle. Whether we want to admit or not, looks can really get you far in this world. People naturally tend to help others who look attractive.

Is it a good thing that companies use models in their advertisement?

Yeah, it’s a good thing that companies use models in their advertisement. It’s a way of appealing to people’s humanity. If they see models using the company’s products, they can picture themselves using the products more easily. But on a less positive note, using models can sometimes produce really unhealthy standards for what people should look like. For example, companies often use really attractive people to sell their products, which can make more ordinary people feel self-conscious.

What are the disadvantages of being beautiful?

It’s hard to think of one, but I guess every rose has its thorn . So if I have to talk about the disadvantages of being beautiful, the first one that comes to mind is that people can assume you’re shallow. For example, my friend in high school was drop-dead gorgeous. But that made everyone think she spent all her time on her appearance and didn’t care about anything else. It was a shame because she’s a sweet and very hardworking person.

Which part of country is the most beautiful place?

Well, actually China is a huge country and has countless beautiful natural landscapes. Each part of China has its distinct, beautiful places. I really hope I can travel to most of them in the future. But among all the natural sceneries I’ve been to, the most breathtaking one is the top of Tai Mountain. It’s a really grand mountain. And I saw the most wonderful sunrise on the top of it. It was stunning!

Which is more beautiful, cultural attractions or natural landscapes?

From my perspective, natural landscapes are way more beautiful. I think there’s something admirable about cultural attractions, like the Great Wall and other manmade places, but they’re not really my cup of tea. Natural landscapes are just so stunning; they can literally take your breath away. I would much rather check out an awesome mountain range than see a cool building. I also think that being in nature is a good way to set your mind at ease
