You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Many people work for money while others say that there are more important aspects of job satisfaction. While choosing a job money is the most significant consideration. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

Sample Answer 1:

Most of the time people try to select a job based on the salary offered from it.  Though there are some others factors on choosing a job, in most of the cases it is more agreeable that amount of salary attracts more than any other factor. This will be discussed and logical arguments would be presented in this essay.

Many men many minds. There are some people, to whom a job is not a work for wages. They think it is also a matter of their prestige and pride. For this purpose, they choose their job based on the reputation of the company and after meeting this condition they go for the job position and salary. On the contrary, some people think that the more the wages from the job the more they will be in a prestigious position in the society. Their view is that salary is not the key thing to evaluate a job as well as the person.

On the other hand, many people think that job satisfaction is the main part in choosing a job. And we know job satisfaction is based on the other facilities provided by the company in addition to their salary, like freedom of work, transportation facility, working environment mobile billing etc. These kinds of people think that without these facilities they will be frustrated after a certain period if they choose a job which will pay them high wages and on the contrary they will take their freedom of work.

In sum up, it is true that the higher the position of the job the higher the position will be and with this, the more the salary will be. So in that case salary is the best option to choose a job. As if you have a money you can have those facilities of your own.

Sample Answer 2:

Some people believe that salary is an essential factor when people choose a job. It is undeniable that people need money for living, but I personally believe that there other matters that people should consider besides salary.

On the one hand, it is true that compensation and benefit is an important factor that people should consider when they decide their career. But they should be careful and selective before they decide the job. Some people might be offered a good position or title, but if the salary does not match with the task and responsibilities, then it would be a negative thing. And then, there are others who seek for high paid salary jobs, but they have never expected that their superiors are pressuring them. Although they got a good salary, they could not enjoy their life, since they have to work overtime and could not spend quality time with their families.

On the other hand, there are other essential factors that people should consider when they choose a job. Firstly, people should seek whether the job that is being offered to them is in accordance with their passion and talent. Secondly, they should also investigate whether the Company’s core business has a good going concern and good corporate governance as well. Thirdly, employees should also seek whether the working environment is conducive and there is an opportunity for them to enhance their career. Lastly, people should also consider the distance between the workplace with their home, since distance could also become a big problem.

In conclusion, to a certain extent, I would agree that salary is an important factor in choosing a job, but it should not be the only factor. There are other things that people should consider such as distance, working environment and career development.
