What kinds of people are clever?
That’s a tough question to answer. But I guess that people who are clever are usually smart. They’re able to look at a problem and come up with an interesting or unique solution. They think outside the box and look at things from a bunch of different perspectives. You can also call clever people crazy as a fox; it might seem like they’re acting weirdly but they’re as smart as a fox is supposed to be.
Which kinds of ways can develop children’s intelligence?
Well, there are many different ways to develop a child’s intelligence. The first one I can think of is having them read. Reading helps them develop literacy skills and allows them to start thinking critically, both of which are very important when it comes to smarts. Another way is exposing them to a variety of subjects to help them have a well-rounded mind. That could include doing math and different kinds of physical exercises. I believe this can help students think better from the perspective of science.
Are cleverer people happier? Why?
Well, to be honest, I don’t think cleverer people are necessarily happier than anyone else. I mean, on the one hand, clever people can be happier because in general they have more successful careers and higher income than normal people. Being clever can make your life more comfortable. But on the other hand, we all have challenges in life whether we’re clever or not. Sometimes, problems like family conflicts and emotion struggles are even harder for clever people to solve because they might overthink the issues. So I don’t really think that cleverer people are automatically happier.
Do you think smart people tend to be selfish?
Well, I’ve been called smart myself, so I really hope not! But I can see why some people might think that. Smart people can get their way a lot easier, so in that sense they could be selfish and use their intelligence just to better themselves and no one else. But I believe a lot of smart people are very generous to others, so it’s not fair to call them all selfish. For example, a lot of famous and genius entrepreneurs like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have donated most of their wealth to charity. That’s very respectful.
Who do you think plays a more important role in a child’s development, teachers or parents?
I suppose that parents play a more important role in a child’s development. For one, they’re with the child from the day they’re born. So they have a huge influence on them for basically their whole life. Plus, the parents are the ones in charge of raising the child. They can affect what the child believes and how they behave. Teachers still have an important role in children’s lives, but I think parents take the cake.
How should teachers develop children’s intelligence?
I suppose that teachers should develop children’s intelligence by challenging them in lots of different ways. They should obviously teach them how to read and write, but they should also teach them different skills that involve math and science. By expanding their horizons through different subjects, they can help them become well-rounded and intelligent students. They can also help them develop intelligence by giving them challenging questions and encouraging them to work it out as much as they can. After all, the more you use your brain the better it works.
What are the qualities of good teachers?
Off the top of my head, the first thing that comes to mind is patience. Good teachers stick with their students no matter how hard they’re struggling. They always encourage them to do their best. It kind of goes without saying, but good teachers should also be smart and clever. They should know how to teach in different ways to help get the point across to different kinds of students.
Has the invention of the computer made people smarter? Or does it make people think less than before?
Well, personally I suppose that computers are lifesavers. They can help us think in different and challenging ways because of all the new technologies it uses. For example, you can analyze data and learn science easily on computer. But on the flip side, computers can also make us think less because they give us answers at the press of a button. People don’t really have to put their minds to anything anymore because the computers do it for them. So it’s definitely a double-edged sword.
