I can be called many things, but I don’t think that I can be called an “organizer – like a (political) party organizer or a sports organizer – of anything. This is simply because I just don’t have the required patience or ability to become one. But, still, for some “mysterious reasons,” when my classmates gave me the task to organize a “farewell party” for one of my teachers at the junior college, I just couldn’t say “no” to them.
So, I started to chalk out different kinds of plans to make the event successful and happy. Of course, most of my classmates were rather generous in helping me along the way, but I just couldn’t put a perfect plan together until I had gone to our senior school supervisor. It was actually that supervisor who made my life easier, as far as organizing that event was concerned, by offering me some advice on how to best design a farewell card for a teacher who is starting a better role at a different school, what kinds of gifts to buy, proper sitting arrangement for the teachers and students, decoration of the auditorium, and so forth.
To make the event even more special, I also had to dig into the piles of old newspapers to find and collect a special picture in which the teacher can be seen receiving the “best teacher’s award” from the city mayor. The memory of this picture brought little tears to the eyes of our favorite calculus teacher, who had taught at our college for almost 10 years without any complaint.
In the end, it was a pleasant and successful event because it brought all our school staff together to show some genuine and heartfelt appreciation for the outgoing teacher. Besides, it was a successful event because it brought back the memories of some of the old but very precious moments that my favorite college had witnessed in the past.

I want to talk about a successful party I organized several years ago. At that time, I was the class president in high school. One day, my teacher asked me to organize a party for some kindergarten kids on Children’s Day.
I was worried after I took on the work because I hadn’t organized similar activities before. I talked with my best friend about how to organize this party. She suggested we give performances for the kids. Also, we could buy some ornaments to decorate the classroom. When I was preparing for this party,
my friend helped me a lot. She was responsible for the performances while I bought snacks and decorated and decorated the classroom.
When the day came, our teacher took a group of children to my class. We danced and sang songs for them. After the performances, we played games with them. All the children had a good time on that day. They not only attended the activities but also got snacks and gifts.
After the party was over, my teacher thanked me for my work. She said the party was successful and she was happy that I organized it very well. This is an unforgettable experience for me. I think if I work hard, I can organize an event successfully.

Today, I will talk about a surprise birthday party I held for my best friend, Mai. She’s always been a sister as we’ve been friends for over a decade, and she’s been with me through both ups and downs.
If memory serves, this party took place when we were seniors in high school and my bestie was about to turn 18. Though we were drowning in exercises and tests as the college entrance exam came, I decided to do something special for her.
A month beforehand, I secretly contacted her family members and close friends and had them send me some photos featuring her funny moments and record some short videos full of love and support for her. Subsequently, I put the pictures in an online album and merged multiple videos into one file. A week before the day, I booked a small cafe in her residential area, ordered a birthday cake, and purchased a Pandora bracelet as a gift for her.
Finally, that red-letter day came. Mai was amazed when she found out about the party and saw the video along with pictures shown on the screen of a nearby coffee shop. She was then amazed when she knew I was the one throwing this party since, previously, I pretended that I was too busy to join her. After all, she was totally on cloud nine, and her happiness meant my party was undoubtedly successful.
