Should students learn many subjects or learn a few subjects but learn them deeply?

I suppose that it’s best for students to learn a wide range of subjects. There are definitely benefits to learning only a few subjects well, but students need to be exposed to a variety of things first. That way, they can narrow down their interests as they grow older. They might not know they’re interested in something until they’re taught about it. That discovery wouldn’t happen if they only got to learn a few subjects.

What are the influences of teachers’ course design and teaching methods on students?

Teachers obviously have a huge influence on students. The courses they pick and the way they teach them affect the subjects that students will be interested in. For example, if a teacher has a very boring course design for history and doesn’t use effective teaching methods, students might be turned off from the subject of history and not want to study it anymore. On the flip side, if a teacher can teach children in an interesting way, I guess even those students who don’t like studying might be attracted by the course. So teachers have to balance those things in order to make every subject as appealing as possible.

Should school classes be interesting? Do interesting classes help students to learn better?

I definitely think classes should be interesting. I mean, the main thing is that they should be educational above all else. But it really helps if classes are interesting as well. That way, students are way more likely to pay attention, and thus they’ll study better. I don’t think anyone wants to sit through a boring class. That’s about as fun as watching paint dry. It’s much better to be in a class that’s both educational and interesting.

How can teachers make math class more interesting?

Well, math has never been my cup of tea. But I suppose a way to make math classes more interesting is by having real-life examples. In that way, it’s easier for students to understand the math theories. For example, I remember I had a math teacher who taught us about percentages. She made it interesting for us by talking about sales. You know, if something was thirty percent off at a store, I could calculate the price on the spot because of her class. That skill has really come in handy.

Do you think the internet is an important source of information?

Yeah, I would say the internet is a good source of information. There are so many interesting articles about all different kinds of topics. From news to pop culture, you can stay in the know by looking at the internet. It’s really amazing when you think about it. However, there’s also a lot of fake information on the internet. So you just have to be careful about where you get your info from.

What subjects are more practical to learn nowadays?

Nowadays, I think it’s practical to learn subjects in the sciences, like physics, biology, and chemistry. Those things can be applied to tons of different jobs. They’re especially practical because they help other people out. Besides those basic subjects, I believe computer science and programming are the most practical subjects in today’s world, since we basically use computers to work and study every day. I believe no matter what you do in the future, knowing how to code will be a great advantage at work.
