Sample Answer

Can shopping boost an economy?

I believe shopping can definitely boost an economy. Granted, I don’t really have a head for financial stuff. But from my perspective, I think that shopping contributes positively to the economy because sales can help grow businesses. When there are lots of businesses, the economy naturally grows and everyone benefits from it. That being said, you have to take what I say with a grain of salt. I’m not an expert on the subject.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of shopping at a mall?

Well, I’m a pretty avid shopper, so the advantages are easy to think of. The first one I want to mention is variety. When you go to a mall, there are lots of different stores to browse around in. Another advantage is convenience since you don’t have to waste time going from place to place. But in terms of disadvantages, I guess one is that shopping malls can get super crowded. During the holidays, people are packed in like sardines.

Which one is more important for buying an item, quality or price?

I think quality is definitely more important when it comes to buying something. I get it when people are tight with their budgets; after all, money doesn’t grow on trees. But it’s more important to focus on the quality. If you buy something high-quality, you won’t have to spend extra money replacing it. So in a way, it actually saves you money. As my parents always say, a penny saved is a penny earned.

Are used items recycled in your country? Is it common?

I’m not too sure, but I think it’s pretty common for used items to be recycled in China. A lot of items can be recycled and resold for money, such as aluminum cans, paper, or plastic bottles. And it’s pretty common in China. Actually nowadays people are way more environmentally conscious than they used to be. So it’s a great thing that we find ways to help protect the environment. I suppose that recycling is a small way for everyone to help share a huge responsibility.

Do you pay attention to environmental protection?

Honestly, I probably don’t pay as much attention as I should when it comes to environmental protection. Sometimes I read articles about movements that are meant to help the environment, but I couldn’t tell you one off the top of my head. Personally I just try to stay aware about how I can change my habits to help out the earth. For example, I use public transportation whenever I can and I recycle all my used items.
