These days, it has become a fashionable trend for a country trying to develop its technology. However, at the same time, this condition has changed and made several aspects such as ability as well as the way of life ignored by society. Some argue that it will be useless to make it up or keep it sustains because automatically technology brings a lot changes to the society. Personally, I strongly disagree that technology will bring negative impacts for a country when a country tries to adapt it. I will explain that in this essay according to my opinions and views.
Firstly, technology takes a vaccinating role in the global society, especially for a country. A country that tries to adapt technology as the foundation of lifestyle indirectly traditional aspects will improve and a country will find a platform to promote their culture globally. For example, Japan as a country shows progressive development in technology by creating many variations of technology. Japan still makes their culture known well by people around the world. At the same time, a lot of findings or creations were done by experts in Japan but traditional skills or the way of life still remain same.
Furthermore, technology helps to promote cultural and traditional aspects from a country. Today there are many countries tend to use technology to introduce their culture as well as their lifestyle in different parts of the world. For instance Indonesia, Ministry of Information and Technology succeed to promote culture and Indonesian lifestyle in South East Asia region during SEA Olympiad by using the internet and mobile television. Based on research by Indonesian media association 25,000 people reached because the way of advertising by using technology.
In conclusion, even though some people still believe that technology will change a lot of aspects of a country but I believe that technology supports a country’s development, society to be introduced, and make a country well known worldwide when a country develop technology in the right way.

Technological development is the buzzword for today’s world. The fact that traditional skills and local livelihood are on a fade in most countries due to this technological development, is a moot issue. Some among the mass, opine that measures to preserve these traditional and conventional methods are futile. In my view, though technology and its recent advancements portray the face of development in a country, efforts to promote conventional elements should be envisaged. Let us discourse the same below on a global perspective.
It is well known that in developed countries, traditional skills are on the verge of extinction. The introduction of new and vibrant technological gizmos has replaced obsolete tools and methods. To cite an example, one would seldom find manual labour and conventional methods involved in mixing concrete these days, after the introduction of mixture machine in construction sites. Unlike earlier times, when small-scale industries like cotton mills, hand weaving etc. formed the major part of livelihood and family income, today the whole scenario had undergone a sea change, online and corporate jobs occupying the list. Another special mention in this context would be the extinct public telephone booths, which flooded the streets across the world prior to the introduction of mobile phones and the internet.
Though the disappearance of these traditional skills and way of life are justifiable to an extent, efforts to promote the same should be encouraged. One reason to emphasise here is that most of these conventional methods reflected the local culture and custom nurtured. Moreover, the older generations for whom it would be cumbersome to cope up with the new changes should be allowed to practice or preach within their comfort zone.
Now given the situation, global efforts made by many NGOs and social activists to preserve traditional occupations and skills are well appreciated. Most of their autobiography mentions the complexity involved in the task, as the majority of the people turn away from the conventional approaches in the midst of technologically advanced and compact methods. the majority of these activists find success through repeated target oriented projects. The preservation of old age practice of fishing with cormorants practised in China would exemplify the same. One of the documentaries revealed that these fishermen are paid to practice these in order to keep alive the tradition. From the above discourse, I would like to conclude that, measures to safeguard the conventional skills and livelihoods of past are never pointless or futile however it should be appreciated and applauded worldwide.

The multi-dimensional advancement in technology is a continuous process and it changes the way people live in the society. The development of the technologies improves the quality of life and efficiency of work environments. However, the concern by some, that these technologies replace traditional culture and skills does not hold good. The base for my views is social, professional and economical.
From the social perspective, the societies are continuously improving and aligning to the needs of the new generations. As a nation advances with newer innovations in technologies, its social life also improves. Although the traditional culture and skills are important to the previous generations, it becomes obsolete when a better skill is available. For instance, the telegraph is replaced by fax because it is faster. Similarly, people are moving away from traditional postal service to use instant email service. This shows the shift in society towards advanced lifestyle.
From a professional perspective, technologies are replacing the way people work in everyday life. The state of the art technical devices help the business and work environments to carry their work more efficiently. For example, computers are used for accounting can do the job much faster than manual accounting.
From an economic point of view, the technologies improve the business processes and reduce the cost of manufacturing, thus saving a great amount of money for the companies. Similarly, these technologies also reduce the cost of living for individuals compared to the traditional approach. For instance, people using teleconference or video-conference to conduct a meeting is much cheaper than the traditional way of meeting in a physical room.
In conclusion, the tradition is what we live today. Yesterday’s tradition will be replaced by today’s lifestyle, and so today’s tradition will be replaced by tomorrow’s skills. We must adopt the new skills and technologies and archive the old ones as our valuable history. That’s the way the society evolves!
