Describe a piece of clothing that you often wear.

You should say:

  • What the item of clothing is
  • Where and when you bought it
  • When you wear it
  • And explain why you like wearing it.

Sample Answer 1

I’m going to talk about a T-shirt I have. It’s plain grey on the back, but on the front, there is an embroidered wreath that decorates the T-shirt. The wreath is very detailed and colorful, and it has the word “Lucky” printed in the center. At a quick glance, because of its many details, the wreath actually looks real.

If memory serves correctly, I bought this T-shirt from Taobao about two years ago. At the time, most of my shirts were worn out, and I was thinking about buying myself a new one. When I saw this T-shirt, it was love at first sight for me. I mean, it’s already rare to see embroidery on a T-shirt. Everything is printed nowadays. Such a unique design was everything I was looking for.

The shirt cost 100 yuan, which is steep for a T-shirt. Even though it cost me an arm and a leg, I still think it was totally worth it. I basically wear this T-shirt all the time. Even in winter, I often wear it underneath my jacket. Some of my friends even asked me where I bought it because they wanted the same style of T-shirt.

The main reason I like this T-shirt so much is that the embroidery makes an otherwise normal T-shirt look very stylish and gives it a retro look. Plus, maybe it’s the word “lucky” that is written in the wreath, but I always feel that I have good luck whenever I wear it.

The raptor icon is in the center and is very detailed. Because of its many details, the image of the raptor actually looks very cool.

If memory serves correctly, I bought this T-shirt from Taobao about two years ago. At the time, most of my shirts were worn out, and I was thinking about buying myself a new one. When I saw this T-shirt, it was love at first sight for me. I mean, it’s a merch for my favorite basketball team. And it’s also rare to see embroidery on a T-shirt since everything is printed nowadays. Such a unique design was everything I was looking for.
