Sample Answer
I’m going to talk about the time I learned how to bake a birthday cake from the internet. The thing is, I had a few days off from work and my mom’s birthday was coming up, and I thought this would be the perfect time to do something special for her. You know, no gift is more genuine than a gift I make myself. So I decided to bake a delicious cake for her.
The problem was that I didn’t have a knack for baking. So, before I began, I googled how to bake a cake on a Chinese search engine called Baidu. I found a ton of recipes and videos that teach you how to make all kinds of cakes. In the end, I chose to challenge myself and picked one that was very detailed. I purchased lots of ingredients like cake flour and butter according to the recipe. The next morning, I followed the recipe and its procedures very carefully by making sure to complete every step exactly as it was shown online. Eventually, I managed to bake a cake all by myself.
My mom was over the moon when she saw the cake I made for her. So, even though it took me a whole morning to learn and practice how to make a cake properly, I have to say that thanks to the internet, I made my mom happy on her special day and learned a whole new skill without paying a penny.
